Ajbass60 2 #1 Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) Hi, looking for a replacement belt and can't locate what belt I should be using. The belt that came off appears to be about 96"x1/2". Does this seem correct and does anyone have a Toro oem part #. Adding "48" deck model 1548SC01. Thanks Edited June 13, 2022 by Ajbass60 more info
daveoman1966 3,745 #2 Posted June 13, 2022 (edited) We need to know what mower deck your are using. The PTO to deck drive belt is identified by the deck size...not the tractor Edited June 13, 2022 by daveoman1966

davem1111 2,030 #5 Posted September 12, 2022 I came across this thread because I was puzzled about PTO-to-deck belts and looking for some answers. I wanted to replace the very worn but still intact belt on my GT-1848. The belt "works" but it always flips over and runs on its back. I did a search for replacement belts and what I found said it should be 98", so I bought one at Rural King. Too short. I had taken the old one with me and knew the 98" was shorter, but thought maybe the old one had stretched or the PO had just put the wrong size on - the mule was cranked out almost as far as it would go. Not sure how much the mule adjustment can compensate for different size belts. Next, I took the belt off one of my 416-8's, one which previously had a 48" deck on it, which is what I have on the GT. TOO LONG. What the heck? Or maybe I'm remembering incorrectly and it had a 42" on it... So, this is news to me. If you swap the decks on a WH from 42" to 48" or vice-versa, the PTO belt needs to go with the deck? The IPL for the 05-48MS02 does say 102742, I just checked. If the 103" is too long, it may be because this tractor was re-powered, and I'll just have to measure against the old one till I get one the same length. Thanks!
