Gireg 0 #8 Posted June 13, 2022 I got the tractor from a guy on Craigslist pick it up it ran good but it started to back fire and skip I got a new carb and went to find the model number couldn't find it then I see a tag on engine pulled it off the guy before me had painted every thing so much paint couldn't find nothing all I can see on tag is 301-s and a number across from that number is E0029795 and below that is 47340C that's all information I have he told me it could be a 1970 or 72 and that picture of that coil is the one thank you for feed back I just confused of what it is I guess I should have not purchased it o well thank you again Roy / gireg Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,168 #9 Posted June 13, 2022 K = K-Series Kohler engine 301 = Approximately 30 cubic inches - 1 = One single cylinder S = Electric start E-0029795 = Kohler serial number - E = Made by Kohler in 1969 (Could end up on a 1969 or 1970 model tractor) 47340C = Kohler specification number No record of use in Wheel Horse information but Kohler made for Wheel Horse https://www.partstree.com/models/k301-47340-kohler-k-series-engine-made-for-wheel-horse-12hp-9kw/ Example of the tractor ID plate.
