Welcome to Red Square, but do you really expect any help with the information you gave us.  :confusion-confused:

I see in your profile, you think it is a 301-s.  Please verify and what horse.

I just love using this image.

Yes, we simply HAVE to have some more info....

What tractor/model do you have, what engine, single cyl/twin, and yes, if indeed your coil is odd then a pic may be necessary.....

K = K-Series Kohler engine

301 = Approximately 30 cubic inches - 1 = One single cylinder

S = Electric start

E-0029795 = Kohler serial number - E = Made by Kohler in 1969 (Could end up on a 1969 or 1970 model tractor)

47340C = Kohler specification number

No record of use in Wheel Horse information but Kohler made for Wheel Horse

https://www.partstree.com/models/k301-47340-kohler-k-series-engine-made-for-wheel-horse-12hp-9kw/

Example of the tractor ID plate. Do you have one for positive ID? If so post the numbers.

If it looks like this picture you have a breakerless system.  Coils are very hard to find.  You should test yours.  The problem is usually the trigger not the coil.
