Skwerl58 737 #1 Posted June 7, 2022 I am gathering parts to get my 1970 GT 14 running. The ignition switch has no key but would work with a small screw driver. Last time I went to try it the screw driver would not work so I need a new switch. I also jumped the solenoid to try to get it to fire. I have a new electric fuel pump that I will be installing after I get my switch. Does anyone know what ignition switch I need and which connection to hook the fuel pump to. Pictures are to show the engine set up and switch.
953 nut 56,650 #2 Posted June 7, 2022 Your ignition system has been changed over to a battery ignition system. The original switch was for a different ignition system so it wouldn't work properly for you. I would suggest you use a 103-990 ignition switch and use the diagram below as guidance. The fuel pump can be connected to the "A" terminal on the ignition switch. You will want to buy some Packard Delphi 56 female wiring terminals for the igniting switch and voltage regulator. They hold tighter than the ones from the hardware store.
