Eaton 6 question

Recommended Posts

The Eaton 6 hydro was used in the 800 and Charger V8.   This is the hydro in the custom cruiser pick up I am building for the big show.

It appears the pump and trans axle have separate oil supplies.     They both appear to have motor oil.   Can anyone confirm this and the amount of oil required for each?

Click on the picture in this link and again on 2 pictures of the lube chart on the page that comes up.  Look at T-2 and T-6.

Thanks Chuck and Garry.

So it appears there are separate  reservoirs in the Eaton 6.

The way I read the lube chart for the WH 800 :

The hydro pump takes 1 1/4 qt of ATF.     Mine has been changed to motor oil, so I will continue with motor oil.

The axle gearcase takes 1 qt. of 90 EP gear oil.    Mine appears to have 30w motor oil, so I will change that to 90W
