The blue car, worth a lot.  You mean the Bugatti type 35 in picture 3?

What kind of car is the green one with plate number LOX21?  Interesting styling on those fenders.

One thing it is NOT is a Pontiac Chieftain !

I did an image search on the hood ornament.  Looks like an Armstrong Siddely  ... never heard of that one, must have never been imported to US.

That must be some sorta famous car because they made a die cast model of it... SAME PLATE NUMBERS !

Enjoyed seeing these interesting vehicles. I really like the Triumph military motorcycle. These military motorcycles served a purpose and the people that rode them had to be brave!

I suspect they did the same here, remember as a kid in NZ hearing horror stories about them.

I have never seen so many of them in one place.

With the cost of fuel it's not worth leaving the house unless it's on fire!

Yes the Bugatti, it's quite a beast, must be terrible to drive any distance. It's on the ship tonight heading back to the mainland, got a few more pictures.

Luckily I took a picture of the green cars details - see below the Bugatti pictures. Had no idea it was so famous.

Didn't have long enough to stop and chat to owners as gad to sacrifice sleep to even get to the show - just power walked around taking a few pictures before getting back to work.

They are awesome, there was also one from 1942 that looked like they just dug it up yesterday from a bog!

This old triumph came onboard last night, headlights are gas or some form of flammable substance. Guy riding it was even older than the bike.

You must have been anticipating an easy crossing. No tiedowns on the smaller vehicles and surprisingly close spacing!

Dart is an apt description, so tiny!

We never tie the cars down, and spacing is due to the ships being a bit small now, they could do with being 40m longer as traffic has increased.

We always secure anything over 3.5 tons, and vans, caravans, motorhomes get lashed if weather bad.

The trucks onboard today, just 4 chain lashings for these as they are small and empty.

So the hawker Sidley came onboard tonight and I managed to speak to the owner.

The corgi model was made using his car as a template. It turns out they didn't ask permission to use the number plate etc, so he called them up about it. They apologised for not asking, and sent him a bunch of the models as an apology.

The metal used was ww2 surplus from the hurricane factory that had been allocated for building fighter planes - so this car is basically a repurposed plane :-)

The huge air filter was to try and quiet down the induction noise, apparently unsuccessfully!

I mentioned his car had peaked you guys interest, he was chuffed with that.

Hope all that's of some interest, shame I'm always short of time to chat with these people.

That Bannister AEC is a long way from home. That is if it still lives down there in Lancashire.

It probably does still live there, I parked him up but couldn't stop for a yarn - will try and catch him when we unload in the morning :-)

But why?  LOL!  I used to love that sound on my muscle cars.  I used to joke with my friends, some of whom actually believed me, that when the secondaries opened on the carbs, one could see the hood getting sucked down an inch or two !

I hope he was able to sell them and recoup some cash!  He should have asked for royalties !
