Maxwell-8 4,277 #1 Posted June 4, 2022 The guy that bought my WH with a 14hp wants to add a hydraulic pump to it. It will be used to drive a small hydraulic tipper trailer. I have seen some posts were some of you guys added such a pump. Does anyone of you have any pictures on it? as well as some specs? What is better? under the frame, or use the front attach a matic? Maybe be looking into doing the same to one of my horses. 3
wallfish 17,011 #2 Posted June 4, 2022 (edited) Here's mine with 2 pumps on it. The FEL uses the right. I kept the hoe completely separate with it's own pump even though it could have been run from just the one. Not sure what's available over there but here's a pump you might be able to compare to. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200329712_200329712 It's the same as the one on the lower left used for the hoe. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200329712_200329712 Edited June 4, 2022 by wallfish 1 3

Dan.gerous 2,696 #5 Posted June 4, 2022 Very useful information Another thread to follow, and more stuff to order - Flowfit do something similar in the UK, not sure about Belgium though.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,046 #6 Posted June 5, 2022 The pumps driven by belts have bearings that withstand the shaft side loading caused by a belt. Make sure the pump you decide on states it can be belt driven. 3

Dan.gerous 2,696 #8 Posted June 5, 2022 Looking around at pumps (other than ones from car steering) and I notice that "2 stage" is common - any benefit in having/not having?

Are you referring to the type 2 power steering pump mentioned in my prior post? The type 2 pumps have a means to use a external reservoir tank. Many older ones had a built in tank which limits oil capacity and ability to keep oil cool if using it to power multiple cylinders.

No it was a two stage pressure thing, lower at first - will find a link later and send through.
