Cheers

And, VERY notorious for rounding out the hex .... be VERY careful in removing it - clean the pocket spotless and get your very best Allen wrench and make sure it is seated real tight ... and cross your fingers!!!

Well.... maybe not ALL that bad, but still use precaution/common sense. Many times they do just back right out. The thing is, IF it rounds off, its a real bi*#* to then get it out.

Well, it came out without a fuss at all. But two surprised.

The manual said it should have 10W30 in the rear end. (hydro) But what came out looks like a cross between motor oil and automatic transmission fluid. What am I suppose to put in this thing?

Next thing is I think some bad news. Im hoping someone here can guide me. When i opened the drain plug, pieces of what look like a ball bearing retainer ring fell out. Ugh. Any opinions would be appreciated. This thing moves ok, backward forward lots of power, no strange noises....

No description available.

I would open it up, those metal parts gave you fair warning that something big is going to happen.

:text-yeahthat: Fix it now while you can.  If it lets go it might not be repairable.

Do you suspect this piece of bearing cage is from the differential or from the pump or motor?

My guess is that it is not from the pump.
