It’s a rollover valve. Vents when installed as shown and if the “vehicle” rolled over, it shuts off preventing fuel spill. That’s how I read it anyways When I made my tank, I put the outlet in the bottom center hence the U shaped cut out in the mounting plate. Not sure why I did it that way. When people started wanting tanks, I wanted them to be able to fit a stock setup without someone having to really modify anything. That’s why we put the outlet in the lower corner. They worked good. Pullstart 62,857 #69 Posted October 31, 2022 Richie’s creation fits like a glove! I opted to keep the heat shield for now. If anything, it is a great mount for the coil and condenser. This engine has a low run time since rebuild, so I re-torqued the head bolts as well.
