Excellent!

All is great here in the slightly smaller land of potatoes as well.

I have a tiller I'd sell ya but I am in Idaho. Not sure when I would next end up driving east but I do have the goal of hitting the show next year.

IF y’all were to make a deal, it would be best likely to drop it with Jeremi in WI or IL on the way TO the show… but if not I’m sure I’ll be at the show and will make my way to WI eventually…

Under the left panel here on top of the hydro unit, all eager beavered up with a drill bit, torch and a dull hacksaw :tools-hammerdrill:

@Sparky  the picture above that @ztnoo posted shows the seat adjustment too.  The seat bracket is on sliders, the back falls into the various adjustment slots.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I’m waiting on some hydraulic stuff for the 520Xi loader project, so I decided to take a look at this aluminum work of art.

Richie’s Skittles build for reference…

Tells me I can trim the “back” tab off the stock mounting plate.

*note* I’m not sure if y’all realize this, but the brass elbow is not just an elbow for a vent.  It’s a full blown vent system!

This seems to be better with no tabs in the way…

Nice welding on that tank.

Does the breather have a ball/spring system in it?

It’s a creation of @19richie66 and his son.  I believe the breather does have a ball/spring/check of some sort.

It’s a rollover valve. Vents when installed as shown and if the “vehicle” rolled over, it shuts off preventing fuel spill. That’s how I read it anyways :laughing-rolling:
When I made my tank, I put the outlet in the bottom center hence the U shaped cut out in the mounting plate. Not sure why I did it that way.  When people started wanting tanks, I wanted them to be able to fit a stock setup without someone having to really modify anything. That’s why we put the outlet in the lower corner. They worked good.

Richie’s creation fits like a glove!  I opted to keep the heat shield for now.  If anything, it is a great mount for the coil and condenser.

This engine has a low run time since rebuild, so I re-torqued the head bolts as well.  True Bear style @ebinmaine :handgestures-thumbupright:  I just snugged them until they felt right.

Niiiiice.

You got to get them about halfway between yay tight and so tight but not as tight as wicked tight. Wicked tight is too tight.

Normally I crank ‘em til they snap, then back ‘em off 1/4 turn.  Grade 5 gets 1/2 turn.
