redone 45 #1 Posted May 27, 2022 I 've posted pictures of the two brackets that stop the hood from going to the ground. Someone informed me to bend them down. I 've tried to do this. But these brackets are machined stamp. How is this done Thank you Bill
SylvanLakeWH 25,596 #2 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Here’s how mine is… I think you need to get the bracket bolted on the hood, with lip of bracket catching it, then bolt to frame… Edited May 27, 2022 by SylvanLakeWH
Jeff-C175 7,202 #3 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) My experience is that those 'arms' are not long enough to properly engage the hood. I've added plates that stick out about a half inch on both of my machines between the hood and the hinge. The plate catches the hinge instead of tearing up the edge of the hood and the hood flopping all the way forward. It is possible to loosen the four bolts and slide the hood back but then it won't line up on the other end at the instrument panel stand. I don't see any way that you could bend something to make it work. You could also weld a little extension onto the stop tab, but that may interfere with the hood. c-series don 8,719 #4 Posted May 28, 2022 I went through this with my C-165, and I’ll be damned if I can remember how I resolved it!! I’ll have to go look at it and jog my memory!

I’ll have to go look at it and jog my memory! Both the hood and the hinges are slotted An adjustment of the hinge may be all that is needed. Don't have a Black hood, but with the hood and hinge adjustment on a 300 series to get it to fit correctly can help with the hood shaking

It could be that the hood stand is bent forward a little... somehow...

That hood stand is in three pieces and bolted together could allow for it to be move some.
