JerryLook 73 #26 Posted May 29, 2022 Actually looking at it again now it looks like it has the tach-a-matic mount. I was doing some research last night and think I can tell the difference. Maybe What do you guys think of the condition. It looks a little beat up, but maybe just needs some paint.

JerryLook 73 #28 Posted May 29, 2022 Ok cool. I contacted the guy and am supposed to look at it later today or tomorrow.

Really hard to find a pristine snow blower. And if you do it's $$$ and maybe hours away. I bought mine about 8 yrs. ago. It looked really nice but I still had to replace the chain and the idler and tensioner sprockets. Try to get a good look at the sprocket on the auger. That one is welded on. Looks like all the parts are there! Edited May 29, 2022 by squonk
JerryLook 73 #30 Posted May 29, 2022 I’ll check out the sprocket when I go look at it. Since this is a “Toro” Wheel Horse snowblower, is it probably a model 79360? From what I remember Toro bought WH in 1988, so this would be after that date.
JerryLook 73 #32 Posted May 29, 2022 Ok great. When I looked up the Toro snowblowers it looked like they only made two models, the single stage and 2 stage. Compared to the bunch of models WH made over the years.

JerryLook 73 #34 Posted May 30, 2022 This is the tag it has on it. Same as the 79360 or different?
JerryLook 73 #35 Posted May 30, 2022 I did end up buying it. Everything looks to be in decent shape. The auger turns freely and so does the chute. The sprockets and chain looks good. And for those who might wonder in the the future, yes it will fit in the back of a Dodge caravan with stow and go seats It has some pieces with it that I have questions about. I’ll post better pics tomorrow.

JerryLook 73 #37 Posted May 30, 2022 These are the pieces that came with it. I think they’re all shown in the IPL for the unit. Except for the clamp. Don’t know why that’s there. Maybe when I assemble the blower it will be obvious.
JerryLook 73 #38 Posted May 30, 2022 It appears as though this is a different model than the 79360. So I wonder what the differences are. There isn’t a lot of info out there when I search for the model 0642ST07. The Toro spec sheet and IPL show up, but none for sale etc. When you search for the Toro 79360, quite a bit of info shows up up, and units for sale etc.

Drop the "06" from the front and just search for "42ST07" and see what comes up. Or maybe that's where you got the page you posted? Is this the manual for yours? 2 hours ago, JerryLook said: Except for the clamp Hot beverage holder? I see what the other stuff is now. JerryLook 73 #40 Posted May 30, 2022 I was aware of the manual section but had not clicked on it until I clicked your link just now. The pic I posted is from a google search. Looks like the manual section is pretty nice. At first I thought the clamp might have gone around the chute, but it’s too small for that. It’s about 4” diameter. That’s one big beverage

JerryLook 73 #42 Posted May 30, 2022 (edited) I have a C-105 that I’m going to mount the snow blower on for a test. That tractor has the attach-a-matic mount also, and I assume the fitment will be the same as the 416-H. That way I don’t have to take the 416-H apart until after mowing season. Maybe the reason for the clamp will become obvious then. Besides greasing the bearings and lubing the chain, is there any other maintenance I should do to the snowblower before testing it out with the tractor? If the auger is bent up, you could straighten the edges some... I find that a 12" adjustable wrench works real well for that.
JerryLook 73 #44 Posted May 31, 2022 Ok I’ll check those out. Based on my snowblower S/N it’s a 1991 model. And my 416H has tire date codes of 1990. Making it either a ‘90 or ‘91. It’s pretty cool the pair are so close In age.
