Anyone know what this is?

Bought this today from my old buddy Steve...usually buy Maytags from him, but once in a while he comes up with something odd and interesting as well. Does anyone have any info on it and what it was used for?

Looks like a mechanical air compressor of some sort. Not sure what it would be used for. Looks too small for diving.

So far the best explanation as to what it is I have found is that it is part of a carbonation system from an old soda fountain, or maybe a brewery or tavern. Thinking it is supposed to have an electric motor on it, but someone converted it to be ran off of a flat belt. Hook it up to a Maytag 92 and it might be an interesting piece at a show.

It’s pretty cool whatever it is.  Perhaps you could find the patent?

:confusion-confused:           You could run a hose from the air pump into a tub of soapy water and blow bubbles!           :ychain:

Get a 55 gal drum of "Mr. Bubble" and really have some fun. Maybe a few UFO sightings on the prairie! :banana-dreads:

I found that same video yesterday...guy in the video didn't even know what it's original use was...it's a cool piece and I'll find some way cool to display it at shows...I would just like to know what it's original use was so I can answer the questions about it that are bound to come up at a show
