C-160 Hydro Valve hose routing

It's finally time to replace that big honking hydraulic valve on the C-160. I have the new one which I bought on eBay drying and it will be ready to go on in the next couple of days. But, I don't know which ports go to where on the hydraulic cyl, or the charge pump. Could someone check their C-160 and let me know which line to connect to where?

hey Karl, glad to hear it! From the valve to cylinder, it's front to rear, and rear to front. From the valve, the inner hose goes to the front port on the hydro, and the outer goes to the rear port..

Thank you Eldon, the valve is still a little tacky but hopefully will be readyh to put on in the next day or so. I am debating painting the handle or trying to shine it up. I don't remember if the original C-160's had painted handles or not?

Hey Rick, Does Karl's tractor look vaguely familiar? I picked it from your place about a year and a half ago. It didn't look "quite" like that when I got it from you.

Interesting, the valve that I got, the s-hook has some red paint on it, but the handle not a trace? I do like the idea of painting the handle and cleaning up the s-hook.

Well I didn't take any pictures, but that old big honking black valve is gone, and the new one is on. It looks SO much better now. I have another surprise coming soon, then I will take some picutres of the valve and "other" part.

This still needs to be cleaned up, and I am still up in the air with what I am going to do about the handle, either buff it really nice, or paint it Red.

I'm not positive, but I think TD might have the lift height indicator decal repro'd now too.

I checked with TD earlier and he does have them. I need to get that, the directional / PTO, and turn to push decals to complete it. As for the little black cover, that's not it but I sure wish that I could find one.
