Chuck14025 9 #1 Posted May 20, 2022 I can't find the spark plug setting in the manual. Anyone know it or know where to find it?
953 nut 55,297 #2 Posted May 20, 2022 A rule of thumb for all Kohler sparkplugs is .025 for a magneto system and .035 for all battery powered ignition systems.
stevasaurus 22,764 #3 Posted May 21, 2022 What Richard said above is true for the Kohler 10, 12, 14 hp engines. The Kohler 4, 6, 7, 8 hp engines gap at .025. When in doubt, go into our "Manual" Section / Engines / Kohler. The information is there. 2

I personally always go a little wider, as, in my experience, it gives more power. Obviously... going too wide would be... dumb... In general you cant go wrong with .030 to .035 thousandths on a spark plug for any small engine application Don
