Recommended Posts

ljfarraher

I have someone selling a 1993 520H with a 48" deck, tall shoot blower, second short shoot for parts, 48" blade, and tiller for no less than $4300.00..

Not sure on hours but run real good he states..I offered $3750 for the package..what's your thoughts on it? Everything looks good..barn kept for a few years..carb rebuilt probably due to sitting in the barn.

Thanks all..

Sounds high priced to me. But with out knowing the hours or seeing a picture or two it’s hard to say.
Get into our classified section and go to the sold category, scroll thru it and you’ll find plenty of old ads for 520’s that have sold. We purposely move sold ads to this section for reference. See what kind of money they were bringing.
This link will bring you right to it.

Did the 417-A fall through?  What is it that you’re looking for exactly, I might be able to help.  If you could list your wants, needs, wishes…

Not very nice..been kept in a barn..so not weathered but just average use on the tiller, blower, and blade..not alot of paint missing and rusty..all looks actually quite decent for the age..dusty in the pics..but not faded paint.

Myself as a 30+ year OPE mechanic would put the implements at $300 for the short shute parts blower,  $375 for the 48" blade, $500 tiller, $500 tall shute blower, and $1300 for the tractor and 48" deck...am I off on my thinking?

I'm thinking you're estimating a little high on some.

A "parts" blower is $200 MAX.

48" Blade $150-$200

Tiller $250-$350

Above prices are for good USABLE implements that may have paint "character".

With all due respect to the seller.

That price is absolutely absurd

That's not even remotely close to realistic.

Stick around here on the Redsquare and we'll get ya fixed right.

Mr @Pullstart might even be able to get you a nice tractor.

If you go to the site that Sparky posted and scroll down about 12 or 14 adds there's a guy with a nice 520 with a nice refurbished 48"deck and a refurbished 48" blade with less than 700hr for less than $1900, yea he's in New York but I'd say that about the right price. Add another $1000 for the tiller and blowers if they are in really good shape so $3000 at the most if it is in as nice of shape as the one in the add. Unless you really have to have it I say let the MIL keep it.

Yepp.

Could be the... hey honey you need to sell that tractor.

Could be because some folks think adding the word vintage or classic adds plutonium value.

I bought my 93 520 with 300 hours for 1200 or 1300 hundred. It had a very nice 42” rear discharge deck and a 48” two stage blower. That was pre Covid and pre Biden however. Everything is crazy now.

I bought my 1994 520H with broken hour meter, 48 inch SD deck, 36 inch rototiller, and a pull behind Eazy Vac trailer for $140 around 2018 or so…

Got my 1984 Work Horse GT-1600 with a 42 inch SD deck, and a homemade mid mount grader blade for $00.00 last summer…

I realize even in NC where Wheel Horses are less dense, those were unbelievable prices…

He still has the 417-A model with a tall shute blower in actually real nice un-restored shape as well as a 48' blade in same condition. The tractor for it's age has new tires in rear and overall in real nice un-restored condition..905 original hours. everything works and no leaks..

He claims it's a 1988 model..but am reading only made that model 1985 and 86..this hood has no louvers..solid on top.

He's askin $1450.00 with blower and weights and another $200 for the blade..I was thinking $1300.00 for all.. what do you guys think on that?

They ain't budging on the price of the 520H..that lady is a little crazy on that machine.
