Goldnboy 920 #1 Posted May 10, 2022 I had been wanting to use a rear mount blade for some time on my clevis hitch. Now I know that brinly makes new ones but they all seem to...light weight to me. Then one day I came across this blade on marketplace. It was a sears 3pt and with then being a proprietary hitch I thought I would give it some new life.
Goldnboy 920 #2 Posted May 10, 2022 I started out with disassembly and grabbed my sawzall and Carbide tipped blade and had some fun with this piece.
Goldnboy 920 #3 Posted May 10, 2022 When the fun was over (which I am sure some Sears guys are upset at me) it was ready for the next step.
Goldnboy 920 #4 Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) Since I don't have a welder at home I took me a few weeks to find a guy to accomplish the next phase. I found a nice welder a older man about in his 70's that was more than happy to weld this up and took a break from watching a baseball game in his shop. I think the old timer did a outstanding job. Now I have a brinly hitch on here that can be used on any brand tractor. Edited May 10, 2022 by Goldnboy 5
Goldnboy 920 #5 Posted May 10, 2022 Since this was a Sears should I repaint it white frame and black blade? Or should I go with red frame and black blade?
8ntruck 7,002 #6 Posted May 10, 2022 Your tractor, your blade, your choice. But, the official Red Square forum answer will be RED.

Goldnboy 920 #8 Posted May 16, 2022 Well red and black it is...I will let it dry a while before assembly.
ebinmaine 67,484 #9 Posted May 16, 2022 Looks good. I'll be looking forward to seeing how this all comes together.
Goldnboy 920 #10 Posted May 21, 2022 Here is pictures of final assembly. Note I repurchased the 3 pt arms to hold my gym weight plates to add as needed. It had to rain overnight so can't try it out yet.
squonk 41,104 #11 Posted May 21, 2022 You should be able to remove the weight peg and blade from your rear mount. Getsome 3/4" round stock for the mid hitch and a little more steel and fab a mid grader out of that as well. 1
