John h zackowski 0 #1 Posted May 8, 2022 I have a 520H and am trying to drain the transfer/transaxle case. I can not find the drain plug. Can anyone let me know where it is? It’s an 86 fyi. Thanks

WheelHorse520H 708 #3 Posted May 8, 2022 (edited) @Fishroe is correct, but I would add to drive it around so it gets hot and flows faster. Edited May 8, 2022 by WheelHorse520H
peter lena 8,720 #4 Posted May 9, 2022 @John h zackowski agree with others on the oil gear heat up , do you have any drivable roads or culde sac near by ? thats what I do before all my trans drains , use forward and reverse for heating up that oil . also lift the front end off the ground to increase the drainage . grease your front end while it up in the air , your grease job will be better , grease will come out of top of axel spindles . good luck with it , pete
JCM 9,364 #5 Posted May 9, 2022 (edited) FYI If your 520-H has the Wheel Horse hood and fender decals you probably have either a 1988 or 89. Nice to see you changing the transaxle fluid and hopefully filter as well. @John h zackowski Edited May 9, 2022 by JCM
