Raider12 13 #1 Posted July 3, 2009 On the top of the hood of my 70 Raider 12 there is a gray stripe running down the middle. I completly restored this tractor aprox 15 years ago and the dealer then sold me the gray stripe and the side decals. I remember him telling me the small white stripes were no longer available. Gene_S 93 #2 Posted July 3, 2009 Hi Raider12, I restored an original 1971 Raider 12 and it did not have that stuff on top of the hood nor have I seen any others like yours. TT-(Moderator) 1,145 #4 Posted July 3, 2009 I'm thinking that the hood stripes didn't appear until very late in 1971 and I have definitely seen quite a few 1972 models (including brochure photos) with the stripes. I have never owned a tractor with the hood stripes nor have I ever measured the width or spacing between the stripes, but I am certain you should be able to acquire vinyl striping tape (such as 3M) in the correct widths through auto refinishing supply stores. Raider12 13 #6 Posted July 3, 2009 Thanks for the picture! At least Im not going crazy (completly) I wonder if this is a decal for the 72 as well as other years? Im hoping to restore this one again this winter along with my 520. I kind of like being ahead of the game when it comes to details.
