Monstrosity 1,141 #1 Posted May 8, 2022 (edited) Hello! Brand new picked up a 1277 yesterday and it needs some help. It has no belts, a missing PTO and lever, the main drive cover, and the main drive belt is what I'm trying to figure out how it's routed. Does anyone have pictures of there drive belt with the cover off? Ive searched the forum with no luck maybe I didn't see it but I couldn't find anything. Thanks! WHX?? 49,146 #3 Posted May 8, 2022 P Belt routing is fairly simple. Just up over the top of the clutch idler. You'll need to find a belt guard they are essential in stopping the belt.
8ntruck 7,080 #4 Posted May 8, 2022 to the forum. Bunch of good, helpful, folks here. Collectively, we've probably broken, and fixed just about anything that can go wrong on a Wheel Horse. The belt guard has some sheet metal tabs on the inside near the engine pulley. These tabs hold the belt off of the pulley when the clutch is depressed and the belt is slack. Without the guard, the slack belt will contact the pulley just enough to keep the input shaft in the transmission turning, which will prevent you from changing gears. Good luck and have fun with your new Horse. 2

Here's the chart that belt size came off of. Every horse person worth their red should have this.
