I'm going to use it now, just so it shows up in my "Recently Used" list. -------- @ebinmaine I just noticed my "handgestures-fingerscrossed" emoji is different than yours. I got mine from the "Default" list here on RedSquare, where did you get yours? 7 hours ago, Handy Don said: 🤞 from Mac OS (this is an ANSI standard used across many systems) from Red Square Mine's from an Android phone. They vary system to system and even same system to different devices. I'm on Trina's phone plan but we have different model phones. Thor27 769 #131 Posted May 20, 2022 (edited) I'd guess that parts tractor is a 417 or 418 by the engine plate. That plate is also worth something to the right person. Kohler twin plate is wider to the left than a briggs or an onan plate. Edited May 20, 2022 by Thor27 Add 1

Don I didn't think you'd travel that far for parts like this But I guess it would be a pretty easy shot down the Interstate for you. I may miss out on this, because I'm going to be traveling a bit. Told him I'd check in when I got back.
Thor27 769 #134 Posted May 21, 2022 BTW, IF that was once a 418C, you would have scored 2 for 2 on the rare, and somewhat desirable high geared version of the eaton. If that's the case, I'd Buy a lottery ticket too.
c-series don 8,724 #135 Posted May 21, 2022 I’m lucky enough to have one of those 418-C’S you speak of, bought it from the original owner about a year ago. Approximately 700 hrs on the clock. 4

This parts tractor is on CL in Southern IN near Louisville KY, listed for $120 but I am betting I can get him down to $100 or less pretty easily. Yeah, even if the hydro is shot there's easily more parts value here than that. I've already been in contact with the guy - he said it's part of an estate sale for his dad and he doesn't know any more about it but will be looking tomorrow to see if he can get a model number or S/N. Obviously that only works if it's on the frame or rear fender - isn't that where most of them are found? See if you can tell from this picture: FYI, the guy said he can't find any evidence of a model number on this. I've decided to relinquish my place "in line" to buy this. He said he's had other interested parties and wants to get rid of it - it would be mid-June before I could get there and I think I'm going to buy the B-100 that's near where I live. Or maybe not. Or maybe I'll just flip it with a little work. I dunno. Plenty of projects already....

Yeah, I think that's the problem here. If I thought there was a good chance that Eaton 1100 was still good, it would still be worth picking up, but I'm thinking maybe that's why the engine is gone - trans stopped working. If it were closer to home I'd still grab it but it's probably not worth the trouble to me.

Very fast tractors. I realize this post is a year and a half "mature". I was just wondering about the GT1800 and HC rear axle. I'd heard the same a couple other places. What do we know as fact about the GT1800 having the (quite a bit faster) Commercial gear set? Is there a pamphlet? Code numbers? Dealer literature?
c-series don 8,724 #142 Posted October 29, 2023 This is the first I’ve heard about the gear ratio being the same for a GT-1800 as a 520-HC. I don’t have a 520-HC, however I do have a 418-C which has the same transmission as the HC. I also have a GT-1800, does this mean I should have a race? Since I can’t drive both at once I’m going to need help, anyone available?😂 1
