peter lena 8,878 #6 Posted April 27, 2022 @41chevy , good opportunity to not only install new handles , but to lubricate and improve placement of those cables , often just backing off of a cable mount clip , lets the cable be where its wants to be, working easier . add some , SYNTHETIC, SUPER LUBE TO THOSE SLIDE AREAS , and related linkage movement points , and feel the difference . done that on all my linkage set ups , hard ware store might have that oil , definitely on line , only a suggestion , pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

peter lena 8,878 #8 Posted April 27, 2022 @WHX?? just a similar , cable service that I did , ever try to push a cable ? thats what led me to detail the function of that area . first it was , cable binding in its original setting , released that , easier movement . lubricated every related swing point , also added , light spring pulls at end of cable to adjustment arm area , always assisting pull back to close . like this , know this is a no no ,to many , cables work with total ease . very light spring pull , greasy , pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
