Farmall cub 1957 69 #1 Posted April 24, 2022 After a long day I finally got the frame of the C160 primed. Took the front axe off, steering, and attachment points off and got them primed too. Hope to have it done in the next few weeks.
ri702bill 8,327 #2 Posted April 24, 2022 Looks good!! Now is the time to check for excessive play in the axle mount & spindles, and also the clutch shaft thru the frame. Bushings may be needed ....
lae51967 14 #3 Posted May 2, 2022 (edited) Stripped down to the frame, looking good. While you have it tore down this far, it might be worth doing some preventative reinforcing on the back plate where the tranny connects. This is a common weak point. I had to do a total rebuild on mine a few years ago. Search the threads and you should come across a variety of ways to do it if you want. Adding frame bushings for the clutch shaft at this point would be a good idea also.... (had to do that one myself during the rebuild) Edited May 2, 2022 by lae51967 typo
