rjg854 11,361 #1 Posted April 23, 2022 This 1045 came available in my area and I just couldn't pass it up it's going to need a good going through, and cleaned up but it's a basically all there. 8

rjg854 11,361 #3 Posted April 23, 2022 Yeah that was what Mike was telling me, I didn't realize that tractor had that style of tire on it
squonk 41,104 #4 Posted April 23, 2022 I just remembered I have another one of those belt guards that might match that tractor's patina. I'll bring it by when I come over.
rjg854 11,361 #5 Posted April 23, 2022 Thanks, Mike. And you can have that one if you want it. Always wondered why the paint on the engines held up better than the paint on the body panels. Did Kohler paint the engines or did
squonk 41,104 #6 Posted April 23, 2022 Engines had a tendency to have oil and grease everywhere that preserved the paint.

rjg854 11,361 #8 Posted April 23, 2022 I've looked the tractor and engine over for model and serial numbers and such, but all I can find is the serial number decal on the dash tower. Attn @gwest_ca

The ad was about 4 days old, when Mike brought it to my attention. I would have figured it would have already been spoken for, but the PO said the only other guy was down in PA., probably that ED Dog fella, I wasn't going to because I've got my kitchen remodel I'm starting real soon. But I can tuck it away until after the BS in June and work on it over the summer. It needs a lot of small stuff, maybe even a transmission rebuild, seems like it's sat in the elements for quite awhile so most everything is froze up. It's got potential.

Soak it down now and tuck it away as stated. Looking forward to seeing you get it going. 1
peter lena 8,625 #13 Posted April 24, 2022 @ rig854, like the idea of a recovery start in a can , just starting the other way . with some oil penetration ,and possible rust run out , is something like a reflex to me . glad for you , pete 2
