johnnymag3 2,520 #1 Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) After 47 years with the same owner........This unmolested tractor climbs on my trailer and follows me all the way home. Time for a complete go through and replace all fuel lines, fluids, filters...What a nice tractor ,with what i think is a primer lever on the OEM fuel pump. I have never seen one before. It was a long ride with all of the Dealer paperwork in a nice folder from day one !! Came with 42" rear discharge deck and a box of goodies. Been indoors all of its life also.... The fuel pumps with the primer lever were used on Kohler engines from 1963 to 1967 on as far as I know. It is very handy for starting an engine that has been sitting for some time, couple flicks of the lever and the engine will start right up. 8

That is a primer lever on the pump, just like you thought. Helps get gas up to the carb after you run the tank dry. Some Kohler's came with this handle, some didn't. I have a couple 60's models with the primer handle.
squonk 41,150 #8 Posted April 22, 2022 I had a 73 12 I bought from the original owner. Same deal He had it for 40 + years and was his baby. He couldn't drive it anymore. Had a box of spare parts and a deck with it. It still had the original spark plug which he kept! He contacted me like 4 years later and said he found another box of parts. I didn't like the WH seat so I sold that for 3/4 of what I paid for the whole machine. 9

Ed Kennell 38,209 #11 Posted April 22, 2022 C-120....one of the best. Mine served me well mowing grass and blowing snow for many years with no failures. I assume you were able to get the tow valve open to push it on the trailer. That screw driver tow valve stem was the one frustration on these Sundstrands.
Pullstart 62,905 #12 Posted April 22, 2022 Awesome survivor! Are those 1045 front tires? I’ve got a 953 we call Chloe with that primer on it. It rarely needs a flick, we cruise it every week nearly. It sings my niece her lullabies… 5

I was able to get the valve open....and it pushed hard still....but it was never towed....we moved slowly and methodically onto the trailer. I pulled the oil stick on the Sunstrand...clean as a whistle...and he did regular services on the Tractor...it lived on a big farm ....he knew his mechanics. thankfully Edited April 22, 2022 by johnnymag3

I’ll admit, I’m a bit jealous I spend most of my days searching for original condition wheel Horse tractors... ..there are alot of them,,,,,, so original they have everything that makes them non original, but very original per the owners likes and wants...I think you get my drift.. I was lucky to find this one for sure. !
johnnymag3 2,520 #21 Posted April 22, 2022 Just got these pics from the Daughter who took them while I was there getting the C-120 on Wednesday....Appears she wanted a few memories to hold on to when the Horse left the Stable that it was brought to NEW in 1975...She loved this tractor too !!!! Countless times she asked if I wanted to sell the Chevy....After 30+ years with it...and countless Wheel Horse acquisitions ...I told her not at this time..... 4
