It does not run, but the engine is free.  The PTO bell is missing, i am not sure if that is specific to the C 195.  The rear fender is in suprisingly decent shape, only has a crack by the fuel fill.

With the C 195, my black hood collection is almost complete.

How about a pic or two of your Black Hood collection?

A hour and a half drive, and $250 later it was in the back of my truck on the way home.  It definitely needs work, but I think I did

Nice score!

Nice catch.  I just picked one up late last summer.  Similar visual condition, but mine was running.

I believe that the PTO bell is specific to the C195.  NOS parts are available but are pricey.

It is a beast.  Other than the 'try to move a tree' transmission test, I haven't really worked it hard yet.  No, it didn't move the 18" oak I tested it on -  a 3" maple might be a different story, though....

Good luck and have fun with it.

I'll second that welcome to the Super C club! :text-welcomeconfetti:

It's a fun club to be in, plenty of power, some added versatility, and a whole bunch of unique parts haha.  Wait till you get that KT19 running, the sounds the Kohler Twins produce is nothing short of majestic.

Yes it looks decent, just faded and a crack by the fuel cap.

Thanks for the info, I can’t wait to get it running and see what it can do.

That it is, it's a fantastic tractor, I've made all sorts of attachments for the 3 point to help me around the yard and it really gets the job done.  Still haven't found a rear PTO for it yet, and not sure my wallet could handle me getting one anyway haha.  I think there was less than 1,000 of the 84 model made from information I have gleaned over the years, possibly as few as 500?  Don't know if there is an official number out there, but it would be cool to find out.

Yep rear PTO is hens teeth and the only reason I traveled for this one. came with a rear finish mower & tiller. Very heavy attachments and will pull the front right up without weights. Since sold the mower but tiller is going to be for deer food plots.

Down side is the motor smokes so just gonna run it till she dies then a repo of sorts. KT series one not worth rebuilding and I have alot of slopes it needs to run on.

Any one know what this is for? Mid mower?

Yup, that is for the mid mower.  Maybe needed for tiller or rear PTO?  Oh,  yeah - the front mule drive needed for the mid mower only has one pulley.  I'm pretty sure it is unique to the C195.

Well, you all talked me into getting a Wheelhorse..ha! I'll put some pics up when it gets here..It is a 312-8, with tiller and rear hitch items the guy had. Here is the ID tag. Looks to be pretty early in production for the 200000000 series numbers.

Needs a couple guards but I think 1200 shipped was fair.

Yes it had a cone type PTO, but since your not a collector That has to have all original parts. Take off the extra part and set it up with a standard PTO just like on your other black hoods. They work on the 520 and it will work on the C-195..

Thanks for the info. I will probably set it up with a PTO from a 520.
