Retired Wrencher 5,592 #2 Posted April 20, 2022 TJ Nice Raider. A little spit and polish it will be ready to work again. Enjoy it!
953 nut 56,826 #3 Posted April 20, 2022 You should have some fun with the Raider 12. Plenty of power and a limited slip transaxle! Some WD-40 and 0000 steel wool should make a big improvement in the finish.

Kenneth R Cluley 572 #10 Posted April 20, 2022 Looks like a trigger to me. They are fine as long as they work. Can be pricey for parts but also can be converted back to points and coil.
Achto 28,235 #11 Posted April 20, 2022 68 & 69 saw some changes. I've seen them with a starter/gen or a bendex starter as well.

The plate we see on the shroud will tell all. Get us a pic when you get her home. Looks to be a repoed '68 or '69. Nice patina and strait sheet metal! Front rims not lookin too healthy tho. May be chlorides?

Those older cast iron spindles are much better than the newer aluminum ones. And the shell is the same stamping as a newer 42. Drill 4 holes and slap an Attach-a- Matic hitch on it.
