Ed Kennell 40,180 #18 Posted April 18, 2022 to the The 520 is a beast and will serve you well if properly maintained. There are many tips available to restore this tractor. Failure of the rear cylinder valve seats in the Onan due to overheating can be a major problem if the cooling fins become clogged. Removing the engine tins, cleaning the cooling fins , and checking for oil leaks around the oil filter base plate would be #1 on my list before putting a used 520 to work.
