If you have a screw driver that provides a torque reading or is torque limiting then go for it. Most steering components of this type have a torque spec. To tight and the are hard to steer and will wear out quickly, not tight enough and the steering will have play in it and will wear out quickly. You can get away with "FEELS GOOD TO  ME" on light duty off road equipment but for the big stuff that needs to produce you want the torque set properly.

I had not even thought about the thing needing to be torqued to a specific torque… learned something…
