This leaves you with a choice to go narrower 4.00/4.80-8 or wider 16-6.5-8. I have not put wider tires on any of my older narrow rims, instead I chose to go with the narrow tires Here is some pic's of one of mine with the DeeStone 4.00-8's 2

As far a performance of the narrow 4.00-8 DeeStones. I have the same tires on my plow mule. This tractor spends a lot of time pulling a mold board plow, never have issues with them in the dirt. 2

Your confusing me so knock it off it don't take much theses days There is no such thing as a 23-6.50-23... Typo? One thing I can tell you for certain GT tires are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you get until you mount them on a rim. Some brands run wide some skinny....... some bulge some don't. Some run taller or shorter than listed some don't. I get alot of compliments on the plow field on how well they do. There is only a 1/2 belt spinning them which gives out long before they lose grip. Undouble the best tractor tires I ever bought. I should load them 4
