I have an opportunity to buy these for 75 bucks, thinking might be a good grab?

From pics, parts look to be in fair condition.  You'll probably need to refinish metal-to-metal contact points to ensure good operation.  Use 600 or 1000 grit sandpaper on a surface plate (or thick glass) with a few drops of oil...removing just enough material to eliminate visible scratches/gouges.

Excellent instructional! The slippers, is it super critical that they be  kept exactly in the same spot in the Cylinder Block as stated  in the manual? Has it to do with the little piston sleeves as well as the slipper positioning on the Thrust plate? In the set of used components the seller couldn't say for sure if all 9 were kept as situated before disassembly....Also the Motor Valve Plate in picture, it has deep recesses right? If I wet sand it smooth couldn't reach an out of tolerance, become too thin? 75 good price for those or a gamble?

I will copy this instructional if that's ok?

The internals of Sundstrand models 90-1136, 90-1137, 90-1140 and 90-1173 are nearly identical...whether in a 'D' series separted system or not.  The 'D' series separated system... with the Manifold... requires more O-rings and some special tools to assist in re-assembly.

Yes, I've installed these already. The B, C are slightly different the directional shafts are other way round but can be changed. I really appreciate all the effort put forth to make this Instructional, way better than the old fuzzy PDF's! All the information provided on here from fellow members and now having all the parts coming, leaves me with little or no excuse to not do this rebuild. The parts above might make a nice over-stock. My original's are on a shelf intact, greased and wrapped!

This is your pic..  Is that a CRACK in the Piston Slipper?  I'd be concerned if it is... If it is CRACKED, I have a replacement for it.

The four spares PISTON & SLIPPERS that I have are for  Sundstrand 90-2046 or 90-2062...they are BIGGER than yours and won't work for you.  Nonetheless, they are NOT cracked...not at all.  They are cast BRASS slippers, crushed onto a BALL joint on the end of the steel piston.  They may last a long time with that crack, but unlikely.
