timsdl72 12 #1 Posted April 4, 2022 (edited) 8-9 years ago, a neighbor approached me asking if I could repair a tractor blade he used for clearing snow from his driveway. He'd heard from another neighbor that I did a little welding as a hobby and had repaired the pulley mounts on his mower deck. What he brought over was an overly worn blade, wear strip down past the mounting bolts on one end and mostly untouched on the other. Rather than simply weld the wear strip and let the ABUSE continue (LOL), I built the blade back to mostly square and then put it back together. At the time, that work earned me a $60 Applebees gift card. Fast-forward to last weekend; that work payed future dividends. That neighbor has retired and moved out of state. Last weekend I heard a small engine running outside. He brought me a new / old toy. A gift for the extra care I gave his machine. I now own a mid 80's 310-8 that I know nothing about! Thanks for the resources and I hope to learn much! Edited April 4, 2022 by timsdl72 typo 1 9 1

timsdl72 12 #7 Posted April 4, 2022 Thanks everyone! It's a beater for sure. Doubt I'll ever do a cosmetic restoration but I do want to make sure I treat it right, know how to run it properly, and am able to fix what breaks
