Not a dumb question and yes there will be an answer. Some of the fellas have msrp lists from in the day. I do too if I could find it! Others will be along to welcome and answer your question.

:WRS: 1276. Those really hard to find now. Keep it in good shape so you can pass them along to the next generation.

:WRS:  have fun with that tractor, it may have been expensive when originally bought, but here it is all these years later and it's still running.  Well worth it I'd say. :flags-usa:

Yes im trying my best got decal set for it and getting it repainted and all sandblasted all that nice stuff i do understand there pretty rare to come by and if seen there torn to crap this one sat for 20 years had original everything you name it , air filter , tires that still say wheel horse , the clutch pads , the seat is now replaced but was original, and airfilter all has been replaced with what i could find OEM or what i felt it needed if i couldnt get it OEM it has a few missing parts i still need to find i know somone a trip away who has a collection of them he might have it but im basically looking for the original dash it isn’t original , wheel grease caps for the front my left wheel flew off and lost the cap never seen after , and a starter gen cover for the engine it has the brackets for one since im from PA it would be handy to get the snow away from the belt

Once you locate that correct dash plate Terry @Vinylguy can help make it look like new.  https://www.redoyourhorse.com/wheel-horse-metal-dash-plate-restoration-decal-kit-design-3/

Like @oliver2-44 said, Lincoln at A-Z will be your best starting point.  https://a-ztractor.com/

You could also place a wanted ad on this site, https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/classifieds/wanted/

Still can't find price lists for '66 or '67 so time to call in the price list & literature collectors pros. @Lane Ranger, @CasualObserver . There may be others.

I know I would like to have one for '67. Just by looking at what other tractors went for in the day I am guessing a dealer price for just the tractor would have been around 7-900. Guessing dealers only made 2-300 on a tractor but that was a lot of money in the day.

Here is one I found for '64. Check out what a favored model went for @rjg854 !

So if my Dad spent an extra $69 and got a 7 HP Kohler instead of the 6HP Tecky I wouldn't have had to replace engines 4 times in 13 years!

70 bucks might have been a half a weeks wages in the day and little Squonky needs new shoes! :D

With the money spent on Tecky replacements and recoil repairs it would have been worth it? :banana-wrench:

Richie Pugh posted this about a 1966 1056 original cost.   My guess is 12 hp would have been $50 to $75 moe.

You will most likely find that missing belt guard.

That first pic @Thompson1276 really shows the ruggedness of a :wh:. Something to aspire to is @Achto's restoed 1076 although yours has got character and would lend itself well to a mechanical only resto.

Thanks Lane & @19richie66 :handgestures-thumbupright: I find it interesting in old hand written bills of horse sales long before computers.

Yep, less than JD's of the era but not inexpensive. No wonder the dealers offered financing. If I recall correctly, that would've been about three weeks' salary for my Dad and, two years later, a year's tuition for me at college.

Sounds a little high Darb but not unbelievable. That woulda put a 12 hp over a thou. I imagine it was supply & demand and what dealer. I'm sure some didn't adhere to the MSRP if the dealer had kids to put through college or needed braces. :)
