Pullstart 62,904 #3 Posted April 2, 2022 4 pm…. One’s tuckered out, one’s still hitting it hard. Time to go chase her down the hill more! 2
squonk 41,130 #4 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) AHH the sounds of spring! Birds chirping, dogs barking, Kids screaming, Harley's roaring by rattling the windows and Neighbor Ralph sawing wood all hours of the day and night with his circular saw! Ahh the smells of spring! Mennonites spreading manure on the first nice windy day, Southern breeze wafting over the land bring the odifurous smell of the dairy and pig farm down the road. Then the quick change to the Northeast and the landfill and it's odor abating (increasing) chemicals! Edited April 2, 2022 by squonk
JoeM 7,874 #5 Posted April 2, 2022 The old man used to say being tired just keeps you out of trouble. Amazing how dads can keep going. 2

I’ll still chase the kids all over the hill, till they quit on me. Today however, a good rain shower in the area closed the lifts. Tomorrow, last day of the snow season. We’ve never been here to Crystal Mountain as a family, and oh how it has grown since I was a kid! It’s literally a small town!

But drop the “used to”. and at 29 add kite boarding and surfing. Anything with a board. Back in college he lived at the top of a long gently hill with college at bottom. He rode a long skateboard down the hill to class and the bus up the hill. He made it to Wakeboard Nationals in Florida but tore his 2nd ACL during his run. Today he’s living his dream teaching Wakeboarding. This summer is the 2nd year of his Wakeboarding summer day camp.
Pullstart 62,904 #10 Posted April 3, 2022 @oliver2-44 I have surfed a couple times, Los Angeles and Maui. If I lived near the ocean, I’d be an avid surfer I’m sure! I had a longboard too, with skate trucks and 110mm wheels on it. I could keep up with cars in town on that one! We made it back home in time for my father inlaw’s birthday party and for the kids to crash. 😴 1
