wheelhorseman 3,211 #1 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) I just took a head off a newly acquired K-181 because I was going to replace the head gasket and spark plug and clean it up. I could get it started but it didn’t run very good but it would run. I think I just figured out why and again believe it or not it did start and run. squonk 41,150 #4 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) I had a 301 that would sludge the plug up in 10 minutes. Clean it and it would do it again. Wouldn't make it around the block. Didn't even smoke. Finally I ash canned (sold the engine as I had a spare 321 on the shelf.) Toss a plug and gasket at it. If it runs sell it to @WHX?? before it fouls it up again. If it doesn't run time for a rebuild.
