Terry M-(Moderator) 2,175 #2 Posted April 2, 2022 Nice looking 1968 Lawn Ranger!!! Should say on the side of the tires…just curious but what’s wrong with the tires that are on It?
kpinnc 12,083 #3 Posted April 2, 2022 You won't be able to replace those with the same size. The original tires are actually the size that they claim. All new tires seem to be about 20% smaller that the claimed size. If the fronts are not weather cracked, I would clean them well and keep them. They give a look to the Ranger that will be hard to duplicate. 9x3x4 tri ribs will fit, but the same size of anything else looks smaller.
WHX?? 48,828 #4 Posted April 2, 2022 These might be the ones ..double check the size... https://www.millertire.com/4-10-6-rubber-master-stud-4-ply/
kpinnc 12,083 #5 Posted April 2, 2022 Those tires have the same tread style, but are nowhere close to the same thing. They are as close as you'll find, but more narrow with smaller cleats. Again, not at all the same look.

The ones in the back leak air and the front ones have a lot of cracking.

pfrederi 17,741 #10 Posted April 2, 2022 I searched high and low for original size tread pattern for my L107. The are no longer made. Since she is my work tractor i put the originals on the shelf and went with the ones below. There rears hiding under the chains are originals still say WH. (still working after 55 years) I run Ag treads in the summer and mud seasons. If yours are leaking just tube them. 4

kpinnc 12,083 #15 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) If I had no other choice, the tri ribs on a Ranger look good. I don't know who this belongs to, because I just googled it. A very nice 1968 Ranger, whoever it belongs to! Edited April 2, 2022 by kpinnc
