OutdoorEnvy 1,565 #1 Posted March 28, 2022 I have a C-100 and thought it would fill through the dipstick tube hole. But that hole is tiny and no fill funnel is small enough to fit and gear oil is just going everywhere. OutdoorEnvy 1,565 #5 Posted March 28, 2022 Well got to looking and made something work. Found an old bottle of gear oil with the little cone end cap. Cut that small so it would press into the small dipstick tube hole. Then was able to push in a small funnel to that one and it did work. Just slow going with the pouring and waiting for it to drain. But did get the job done. I've done something similar in the past. Worked pretty well. Just get the funnel so it will sit steady and not fall over. Pour a few ounces in and walk away for a while. Horse Newbie 7,114 #11 Posted March 28, 2022 When I filled the 8-speed on the Work Horse I used a bottle of gear oil with the cone on top… just squeezed the oil out and it did not flood the dipstick tube which is I guess 5/8ths to maybe 3/4 inch in diameter. It worked well and when the bottle was almost empty I just stood the bottle upside down until the bottle drained. That will work but you blocking the air that needs to vent (slow go). like a couple of my boys here said next time remove one of the bolts next to the fill hole it will go a lot faster.
