Had my first of many Physical therapy appointments.  They gave me some stretches/exercises to get moving again. Nothing too exciting but its progress.

I had my right knee done 3 month's before the big show in 2014. Pain was pretty much gone but boy did that leg get tired quick! I had to find a place to sit down and that led to @stevasaurus infamous "Homeless at the Bus Stop"  pic!

Week 2-  Post op Check. Doc says everything looks like its healing well and minimal swelling.  He took the stitches out from my incisions and unbandaged it for the first time in 2 weeks. Feels good to have skin exposed to air! I get to start applying 25% body weight on this leg now with the aid of crutches. Brace can be unlocked and bent up to 90 degrees only while sitting. Brace has to be locked straight to get up and move around. Doc says driving restricitions will be lifted in 2-4 weeks when brace comes off. Physical therapy is going well. Just gotta keep up on my daily exercises.

Week 6 post op.

No knee brace and 1 crutch now20220428_113301.jpg.16ee67ee4dfd8dc6e0dbf3ff76e0e089.jpg

physical therapy is now scheduled 2x a week, time to regain muscle lost and joint flexibility in the knee. Given the nature of my job as a Mechanic, crawling in and out of vehicles, Dr has decided to keep me out of work for 6 more weeks to push the physical therapy hard. So hopefully going to work after June 21.

Good job on the progress!  Are you getting workman’s comp or short term disability?

Great progress on your healing and good to hear ( or better read) you don‘t have any troubles with.

But a little reminder btw.

like my wife is also a little bit too impatient,

give your new knee the time that it needs to heal completely.

Less troubles after all will be the result.

Keep going

Hmm, 🤔 I had meniscus surgery back in 2007. A week later I was up on a roof nailing down a ridge vent. Doc says that wasn't a real good idea, but I said he was wrong. 15 years later the knee is still working like it should. I guess that's just the way I roll.

I'm glad you are doing well.

Dr. Gave the go ahead today. Back to work tomorrow,  looking forward to the people. I also recently joined the volunteer Fire Department in town looking forward to getting back to hands on training.
