Hi All, we have a Vangard engine, trying to determine what the correct ignition switch would be , it has a magneto ignition system, right now we have a 5 terminal switch, not sure how the ignition kill switch is connected or does the switch short to ground internally , this motor is on a small garden style locomotive, so not much else to go on.
R  rectifier.  B. battery.  S. start. A accessories , I ?

You need a switch with a ground here is an example from a super cub I owned.

"I" is for ignition meaning it powers an ignition coil in a battery ignition system. Wrong switch for your application.

A switch with an "M" terminal grounds the magneto to shut the ignition off. Magneto systems are self powered.

A very popular and easy to find switch
