Mustang67ford 234 #1 Posted March 18, 2022 Where the idler arm gos thru the holes in the F plate, seems like there should be bushings here, but the parts breakdown don't show any. Metal on metal rubbing. Has anybody drilled this out to add a brass bushing?
Lee1977 6,874 #2 Posted March 19, 2022 Yes I did it because mine were worn and the shaft would nock when the clutch was pushed in.. n702bill had a tread on it last week ( Adding Bronze Bushings to Frame Povit Shaft) There are pictures of mine down in the post.

oldlineman 1,487 #4 Posted March 19, 2022 I think there may have been a plastic or fiber bushing there, but I have also made this upgrade to a 1990 312H with great success. Bob
ri702bill 8,564 #5 Posted March 19, 2022 Lee is correct - I added flanged bushings where there no bushings at all - just steel on steel from the factory. Lee took a simpler approach to do his with good results. Bill
