Ouch !!!!!   I assumed the snow was gone everywhere.

That picture was taken a few days ago so there's a little less now. Still a foot or two deep in the forest where the sun can't get to it.

 

Just this week we are finally getting into a weather pattern that's favorable for melting. 

 

Just to put our weather patterns here into perspective...

I don't remember ever having a month of April where it didn't freeze overnight at least a few times.

As far as gardening, our official date of last frost is the end of May.

Maine only has 2 seasons - Winter and Bad Sledding!!

69° here today so I raked the sides of the driveway, cleaned out the ditch and enjoyed a wonderful sunny day.

We have mo-skeetoes. Sure. 

But we live in area riddled with small moving streams.
