Just wondering what you all think about making Daylight Savings permeant?? https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-senate-approves-bill-that-would-make-daylight-savings-time-permanent-2023-2022-03-15/ This is something that I thought they should have done years ago. My mother who (was short) and my sister (who is short) had a fire alarm system installed in the house when I moved out. The guys hung the main unit high in a hall way. One night the stupid thing went off (no fire). They didn't have a stool or step ladder to reach it. And it had a voice. It yelled FIRE FIRE GET OUT OF THE HOUSE IMEADIATELY!! over and over. They started throwing books, shoes and everything else but the dog trying to knock it off the wall. Finally they managed to get it down but didn't have a screwdriver to open it to unhook the battery. Yeah I head to work around six am and nice to be a little light out but extends my cocktail hour out abit. Guess I wont hafta worry in a few weeks... The BBT was at work last week or the week before and somebody brought up the fact that they were going to lose an hour. Like it was just gone. My mother-in-law was a heavy smoker at a 2-family house we owned. Got a panic call from the other side tenant that there was an alarm going off next door and some kind of commotion - went up there just as she had knocked the smoke alarm off the ceiling and was throttling it with the blunt end of a broom. What about Arizona, they stay on standard time all year long, where will they find an hour to lose, not too sure it is reasonable to ask 7.3 million people to give up an hour just to make it confusing for @Pullstart's roosters and deer. I bought a clock radio about twenty years ago that sets itself to the correct time when you plug it in and was programed to change itself to and now if we go to DST all year long I will have to store the clock out of sight half of the year.
