Handy Don 12,451 #28 Posted March 15, 2022 Look, you have ALL the symptoms of a worn or too long belt. Try the likeliest and most obvious solution first before getting esoteric. The ONLY other serious contender for the problem would be a clutch pedal/spring/linkage that isn't doing its job. Have you looked at that? Is the spring stretched out or clogged with rust/gunk so it cannot retract fully or replaced with one not as strong as needed? Is the clutch pedal getting hung up and not letting the idler pulley fully engage? Can you put your foot under the clutch pedal and pull it back to "unstuck" the tractor?
