Tractorhead 9,064 #26 Posted March 14, 2022 So far I've been able to manage my 1 meter snow plow quite well without any additional external weights or chains. I only need chains for extremely wet snow when clearing uphill. My Predator pulls through with its 3-speed gearbox mostly in 2nd gear without any problems. what I discovered for myself, momentum helps here a lot. If I push in one go without stopping, it's no problem even in very heavy wet snow, but if I have to stop once, it's very difficult to get going again without chains. on powder snow i had no troubles at all. My mainproblem is the extremely uneven surface i have here. but hey, i like it to ride my Wheelhorse. But this year it was just 4 Times, the horse can stretch his legs.
