Gotta Love Oklahoma Weather

Figured some of you might get a good chuckle out of this...I know I did. Woke up this morning to a very windy day, now here it's not unusual for the wind to blow but this is a little excessive. 30-40 mph with gusts upwards of 60 mph I'm sure. Anyway I went to the coffee shop as per my usual Saturday morning routine, then came home unloaded the C81 off the trailer and Tasha and I went to town to pick up a few things at the store. Came back to find our camper moved. My first thought was that I forgot to park it in gear, but I checked and it was in fact parked in gear like I always park both trucks, I don't know how strong of a wind it takes to overpower the compression of a 455 Olds V8, but I'm guessing it must be pretty strong

Alteast it wasn’t parked sideways to the wind.  That could’ve been real bad.  The wind here in OK is no joke.  Kept me off the lake today.  Crazy it would it move that rig!

Yes I'm glad it was facing west and into the wind...I almost wish I would have been here to see it take off rolling across the yard...that would have been a sight

As you guys know, Illinois is THE PLANES STATE.  The wind just gets started in your state, and it ends up causing real havoc here.  Just sayin'.  That red dirt ends up all over my vehicles.

A buddy of mine from Oklahoma CIty says the two most exciting times of the year for Oklahoman's  is football season and tornado season!  That was a strong wind you all had today.  Thankfully it settled down some by the time it pushed through Missouri!

When I was a teenager I had a skateboard with 11cm tall tires.  I was on the Pacific Coast vision my aunt in Santa Monica, CA.  My brother and I skated north on the boardwalk at the beach to the next coastal town and the wind picked up strong enough for us to spread our wings and get pushed all the way back to her town.  I wasn’t a 455 Olds, but that thing has some resistance panels for sure!

Heading in the general direction (El Paso) on Friday.  Hope I avoid the heavy winds as I drive the Austin the El Paso leg.
