The rest of the cuts were made based on the size of that piece.

Then just rifled through the pile of stick lumber to make the base.

With lumber prices being so high that is the way to go!                :woohoo:

Good use of recycled materials. Just an observation - looks like you have a free-standing table with an edge overhang on 3 sides and the legs are inset inside the perimeter frame - the table may not be stable if a heavy load is placed on the overhang - perhaps add some weight below the bin above the floor to help stabilize it?

what's nice about wood is you can easily screw / attach other pieces to support odd shaped part etc.

I have something similar using a cheap Harbo Fright dolly. Nice to push it out of the way when I get bored or want the space to work on something else.

She got quite a good quality laugh out of that...

 Excellent catch.

You're absolutely correct.

That was done very much on purpose by the local Table Construction Department so she'd have a nice large lip to clamp things onto while wire brushing or grinding.

She actually added a second shelf to the lower part today.

Rigidity and balance are both improved.

Well he looks like one!

Make a frame for the bottom and put casters on it EB for when it's always in the way.

Looks real similar to my moveable transmission work bench. I hole sawed places for the axle & input shaft to stick down through. Cover the top with carboard when it  gets greasy in the stove it goes.

I have a transmission set up on my short height workbench right in front of the toolbox area.

We have casters on the bigger table but I don't know if she'll put them on this little one because it's so light.

Hahahaha.

Your logic is correct if it were going to be used by somebody like me.

This is however a BBT table. Built by BBT. Used by BBT.

Hi, me, this guy, myself, I have a serious tendency to leave crap laying around such as tools parts supplies and every other thing you can imagine.

Trina. Nearly never.

If she makes a mess she cleans it up.

If she takes out tools she puts them back.

Drive you Right sideways insane, she does..

I already know she isn't mentally stable -- and she'll admit it freely --  because she lives with me...
