BrianKoch 307 #1 Posted March 4, 2022 (edited) Greetings, Here is my first Wheel Horse, a ‘68 Charger 12. Along with it came the 42” Mower Deck and 42” Plow Blade. Overall, I think it is in pretty good condition. So far, I have done the following: •Changed Oil •Cleaned Air Filter •Changed Spark Plug •Cleaned Fuel Filter •Changed and Greased All Fittings •Welded Broken Seat Bracket •Installed Plastic Wire Looms •Washed and Waxed •Sharpened Blades I will be swapping in an AGM battery and replacing the cracked V Belt on the mower deck. I look forward to learning from you all on this forum how to keep these machines wheeling and working for years to come. -Brian Koch Edited March 4, 2022 by BrianKoch 8

pfrederi 17,739 #7 Posted March 4, 2022 (edited) Looking at the pictures you have a magneto points ignition system. Very reliable and reasonably priced if parts are needed... conversion to a hydro lift is fairly easy as a plus!!! Edited March 4, 2022 by pfrederi
roadapples 6,983 #8 Posted March 4, 2022 I'd replace fuel line and filter, and 2

953 nut 55,228 #11 Posted March 5, 2022 Sounds like you have a good handle on the type of maintenance a new to you should receive. That wood grain decal on the hood side is the prettiest they ever had in my opinion. If you run into any questions about your tractor please feel free to ask, we are here to help. 1

oldlineman 1,481 #15 Posted March 5, 2022 I would do what roadapples said and add a little length to the fuel line to get it away from the flywheel screen. Bob 1

Pullstart 62,867 #17 Posted March 5, 2022 As soon as I saw that silver Fox I thought of the picture Uncle Jim @WHX?? posted! Nice shop and great baseline so far! I might add, and maybe you handles this already, that when greasing the front end, Jack the tractor up BY THE FRAME to allow droop in the front axle, wheel bearings, etc. it’ll allow the grease to get to where it really needs to be. 2
