Travas 13 #1 Posted March 4, 2022 Hello everyone. I've been lookin for a head bolt for my gt1100. Can't seem to find anything for it on any part websites. Can't exactly finish up this engine without it as one broke... If I can't find a head bolt I guess imma put I new motor in. Came here to see if you guys have one or know where to find one. Thanks! They show a head bolt, possibly with a washer, and a part number for a washer, but no part number for the bolt. Very odd! You can match the bolt diameter, thread pitch and length in a grade 8 bolt. Use a flat washer under it, Do not use a lock washer. Note: always put a little oil on the threads of your head bolt before installing it. Listed as 3-9/16" long here https://www.psep1.biz/arinet.asp#/Briggs_%26_Stratton/252417-0664-01/Head/252417066401/69280003 Photo https://www.partstree.com/parts/briggs-and-stratton-power-592244/ The 3-9/16" length may be the overall length and not the way this type of bolt is measured. squonk 41,109 #6 Posted March 4, 2022 A good hardware store may even have a 3/8 flange head bolt 3 1/2" long that would work. If you want to get crazy you could even get flange head bolts and extra thick washers from McMaster -Carr.
