Retired Wrencher 5,441 #1 Posted March 3, 2022 Posting this for friend. Did Wheel Horse make a yellow WH made in Belgium. His says it is yellow and made there? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
ebinmaine 67,248 #2 Posted March 3, 2022 I've read about wheel horses that were colored a couple different shades of yellow for municipal reasons. Do you have any pics of where it says it was made in Belgium? @Maxwell-8
equipment guy 55 #3 Posted March 3, 2022 I think I read about that in history class. The Belgian Horse, or was it the Trojan Horse… anyway, beware of friends bearing yellow paint.😁 I believe the D 250 was built in Germany for Wheel Horse. That company may have had operations in Belgium? I’m not sure what color their branded tractors were.

Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #9 Posted March 3, 2022 Maybe a state or municipality got ahold of it and painted it yellow to match their equipment? A picture would be great
AMC RULES 37,127 #10 Posted March 3, 2022 Russ used to say you could special order any color you wanted them, back in the day, from the factory. Remember, he had that black, Briggs powered Work-Horse he claimed came from the factory in black.

ri702bill 8,282 #12 Posted March 3, 2022 I have the funny feeling that if someone ordered a WH tractor in JD Green with yellow wheels the factory would have cancelled the order!! 3

stevasaurus 22,704 #14 Posted March 3, 2022 Indy Wheel Horse (Indiana) has a yellow horse. I'm thinking it is a 701?? It is original yellow, no red paint. I want to say it was his uncle's. Yes, there are some original yellow horses out there. We've talked about this before...try doing a search. We need the model number of the horse in question to verify if it was made in Belgium.

Belgium production of Wheel Horses ran from spring of 1969 up to 1991. They got the parts from The US, at first they only did assembly, later did also did the painting as well. maybe then Edited March 3, 2022 by Maxwell-8
