The transmission pulley can likely be shined up. I'd say that's been setting outside or on a dirt floor unused quite some time. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

A proper length belt will allow that idler pulley to go back farther which will relieve that guard from contacting the belt A stronger spring on the other side to pull that pulley back more may solve the problem. If you can push it back by hand so it doesn't touch the belt then a stronger spring might do it. If properly adjusted, that tab on the tensioner pulley will pinch and also help to stop the belt. ebinmaine 67,496 #39 Posted March 13, 2022 Judging by the curve (white circle) on that side of the tab, it looks as if it's been that way for a bit. We've had Horses like this here and had to bend/adjust/correct the issue. RedWheelz 149 #47 Posted March 14, 2022 So the belt that was to short was a 82" D&D belt off Amazon. This belt is from TSC and its a Huskee Blue Kevlar. Guess they run different. They aren't like tires that can and do vary some. This is another example of why I went to using ONLY Wheelhorse/Toro belts. You did perfectly fine with TSC. Sorry yes it was a 82" , I meant to include that And I just realized the D&D belt was 7/16 thickness and the TSC is 13/32.
