Paint not even worn off... very little if any rust and auger has no dings and looks to be very good shape. Guessing you checked the idler sprockets and the chain. That's the wear points on these. Seems the small drive sprocket on the topside likes to contract hook teeth syndrome more so than the idlers or the auger sprocket so keep an eye on that. Most of mine have the plastic cover busted off so no a problem. Petes got you covered on lubing. I sure did check them Jim. No visible wear at all. No throttle creep here. I've had the issue in the past on various tractors and have always repaired them without added hardware though. Don't know if Pete would approve but I use an off the shelf can of spray chain lube with a straw on it while turning. It does make a mess so a piece of cardboard under it. This I know Pete would approve of ...after every use! That was me with the throttle creep Pete ... not severe enough to worry about it for now. It works well though. The only reason I changed that smaller pulley is I had thought it may spin the auger too fast and hurt it in the long term.
